No Cameras in California Courtrooms, We Look to Other States for Video Showing What Family Law Proceedings Really Look Like

This video posted on the A&E Channel, starting at 45:00, shows a divorce/ custody case and how it can go terribly wrong. Just as police officers are unable to distinguish mental health issues out on the streets, family court judges have broad discretion, and little training on issues related to domestic violence and parental alienation. These matters become quasi criminal, as private lawyers rather than the elected DA, charge them. A judge, not a jury, can send parents in divorce or custody cases to jail.  In this case it is nearly impossible to tell if the father is truly a victim of family court corruption based on the lawyers in the case.  Things go terribly wrong for the dad when his lawyer is unable to control him and the judge gets a glimpse of the conduct the mother had alleged for purposes of a Domestic Violence Restraining Order.
