As Santa Clara County Courts came under fire after Judge Persky’s ruling in the Stanford rape case, Anonymous hackers, activists and investigative journalists began to investigate how  the  personal backgrounds of the county's judges  may contribute to   " White Justice "  being imposed in  Santa Clara County’s legal rulings.

White Justice occurs  when a judge, based on their own personal position in life, is prone to impose bias. unjust rulings  or to abuse their legal authority such that they  harm litigants who face  ADA, socioeconomic or educational limitations in court, 

​White Justice provides a two-track justice system; one track benefits  white, wealthy and educated litigants and at the  same time the other track inflicts harm on the poor, women, children, undereducated and  immigrants,  the most vulnerable citizens in a society.

As the nation explodes over the White Justice that serves to create  imbalances in the legal system and police departments that serve that system,  with regard to race , the personal lives and faces that make up our legal systems are now garnering more attention.

People are demanding the names and rulings of the judges  who are imposing White Justice on our  modern society and the people are demanding the media and politicans hold these judges accountable for any injustice they cause.

​Silicon Valley's Legal System:  Ground Zero are Family Law Cases involving Judge Grilli and Judge Towery - Anonymous Uncovers Disturbing Trends In These Judges Cases

Historically,  Judges and top court administrators have craved out personal protection for the role they play in our legal system. Judges have been afforded immunity by law , and have been given personal immunity by mainstream media.  Journalists and reporters have simply  left the private lives of judges out of the reporting equation.

​No that white police are shooting black kids and now that family law custody cases are involving CPS and foster programs to reveal corruption and White Justice in those agencies, the game is on. And the game is exposing each and every corrupt judge, lawyer and government worker that hurts American citizens , for profit.
  
Judges like Persky  are changing what  journalists feel the need to report and  journalists are willing to  personally emerge in the stories, demand public records and dig deeper into the legal system and the judges who are responsible for the integrity of that  system.

​Social media and technology have changed the way information about individual judges is disseminated to the public,  where no judicial immunity applies. Frustrated litigants have been able to use social media to expose corruption that mainstream media seemed willing to ignore , until Judge Persky let a frat boy rapist, Brock Turner, have A-Get-Out-Of-Jail Free card.

​As Santa Clara County Judges circle the wagons, to protect the rulings and personal lives of local judges,  ​Supreme Court Justice Ginsberg may have opened the floodgates on the country's judiciary as well,  after she broke with  long standing decorum  and made public  comments related to a presidential political candidate earlier this week, that is being criticized in every mainstream  and social media source in the country. 

White Justice : Threat  to Public Interest
  
America's  legal  systems seeks to assure  that  criminal defendants are shielded from the impact of injustice though a jury system,  allowing  litigants to benefit from a jury of their peers. Trial by jury  prevents a single judge from being able to impose White Justice in a criminal case, and some civil cases.

White Justice is imposed in criminal cases management of a trail and  during sentencing , when a judge has the ability to  overrule objections, block evidence from being seen 0r sentence  a white , wealthy  and educated rapist to six months in jail for a rape .

The judge shows  the impact of White Justice on the most vulnerable in society when at the same time   as a judge uses their  legal authority to show leniency for a Stanford student,  the judge  uses that same legal authority to sentence  a Latino man  to seven years in jail for a similar rape conviction. 

​White Justice  is what occurred with Judge Persky. and that is why world outrage brought attention to Santa Clara County judges.

Sadly,  most civil  divorce and probate litigants are not  afforded the same shield from White Justice, leaving  individuals in family law cases susceptible to the injustice caused by judicial  misconduct , bias and lower levels of scrutiny.

Santa Clara County's Judge Persky's  sentencing of Brock  Turner in the  Stanford rape case, juxtaposed with  the sentencing of a Latino man in a similar case in Santa Clara County,  illustrates  a judiciary out of control . A judiciary  failing to uphold public trust in our legal system.  A judiciary  failing to protect the most fundamental rights of family law litigants.

​ Focus On Santa Clara Courts and Judges: James Towery,  Mary Ann Grilli  and  Persky  Do Most  Harm to Public Trust

By diving into Santa Clara County Courts,  members of Anonymous have  uncovered information that shows Silicon Valley's  most tenured family court judges have personal histories and backgrounds plagued  with;  sorted affairs, concealed medical issues, drug use, alcoholism , sexual  harassment charges,  marital discord,  mental illness,  domestic violence and addiction problems,  leaving many to wonder how  individual judges  in one of the wealthiest areas of the country can be inflicted on such a wealthy and educated population.    

Judge Persky’s personal background, including insidious conduct he reportedly engaged in related to women during his time as a student at Stanford University, is still coming out.

Everything  in Persky’s past is now being scrutinized by a public enraged with Persky’s White Justice sentencing of Brock Turner in the Stanford rape case, information that once might have been protected by mainstream media, but where social media refuses to  provide a free pass.
 
Personal backgrounds aside, the investigation is also uncovering details that show  Santa Clara County judges  misusing  private and public funds, similar to  allegations now chasing  UC Berkeley’s Chancellor, Nicholas Dirks. Such conduct of any public  employee  is malfeasance, and carries  with it the capacity for criminal  charges, for which judges are not  immune.

​Does White Justice  Occur in other cases in Santa Clara County?
Judge James Towery Shows  Worst   Kind of White Justice

​Before his   well known State Bar ethics scandal,  then lawyer James Towery,  was first tossed out of a prestigious Santa Clara County law firm after he got caught cheating on his first wife , who later reportedly became  Federal Judge Morgan  much to    Towery's chagrin. 

Towery's  first divorce appears to have occurred after he was  turned in by staff  Whistleblowers and forced out of his own  firm. Reports indicate Towery  endured  the humiliation of a brutal divorce settlement in Santa Clara County,  where complained to local confidants of his distain for women and whistleblowers, an attitude he appears to have kept after Jerry Brown appointed him to Santa Clara's bench.

​Whistleblowers  in the Santa Clara  County District Attorney's office claim Towery was a known philandered, but before his  second wife  , Assistant  DA Karyn  Sinunu,  could  dump him, Towery landed a spot  as chief trial counsel  at the  State Bar , where his father in law was  reported to  have pulled strings  to get him in .

​Towery's  departure from the  State Bar may have had  more to  do with  his known sexual escapades and infidelities with his second wife,  than the  very public ethics issues  that plagued  his short run at  the Bar.

​What did Jerry Brown think would happen to family law cases when a lawyer charged with a questionable moral compass is charged with ethics violations.

Following his divorce, Towery appears to have developed a personal and professional “network” in  Silicon Valley's  family law community, where he is reported to have sworn his professional allegiance to those who had supported him.

 Lawyers like Brad  Baugh, Jennifer  Mello,  Nat Hales. and Valerie Houghton as well as  custody experts and  psychologists  like Dr. Michael Jones,  all of  whom are known  to be  willing to bend, break and misuse the law are benefiting from Towery's appointment to the Santa Clara County bench.

As Towery moved from the  personal scandal of his first marriage, he landed at the law firm of Hogue and Fenton, where  his  reputation as a philander and sexually harasser continued. The  partners in his new firm  appear to have been willing to assist in  
concealing Towery's conduct that served to be  particularly abusive toward women and  where Towery's ignorance of complex financial issues served to predominantly harm  the firm's female  clients.

As many as 10 women from the Santa Clara County legal community have come forward to report Towery’s flagrant sexual harassment and unwanted advances, which are particularly disturbing since James Towery sits on  the Santa Clara Family Law bench , where Santa Clara County Court Administrators appear to be protecting Towery as  he was once protected by area law firms.

Towery’s alleged sexually harassment and personal distain for women  may serve to harm the litigants in divorce cases before him . A deep investigation reveals Towery's rulings in most  of his cases appear to be biased toward women and children, and unlawful where  complex financial issues  also serve to impose harm  on the county's  immigrants and socioeconomically disadvantaged, allowing White Justice to seep into the county's family  law cases,  just as Judge Persky allowed White Justice to seeped into the county's criminal cases.
 
​First Openly Gay Supervising Judge,  Julie Emede , Allows Gender Bias and Socioeconomic Bias In Santa Clara Courts

Judge Emede, Santa Clara County’s Family Court Supervising Judge, has a history of speaking out against those critical of the judiciary. She does so under the cloak of protecting the independence  of the judiciary,  code for protecting bad  and corrupt judges from public scrutiny.

When Emede was head of the Santa Clara County State Bar, where she served as a lawyer with Towery, she published a paper that was critical  of any media or public transparency that left judges susceptible to either personal or judicial criticism.  

​Many had hoped that Emede would bring balance to Santa Clara Family Courts after she arose from a legal career that faced the personal challenges of being openly gay. But Emede appears to be nothing more than one more judicial crony , protecting bad judges, , bad cased management and outright misuse of public funds in Santa Clara's Family Courts.
  
This might explain why the current Santa Clara County judicial leadership has retaliated against critics  of Judge Persky, despite calls from millions of people across the globe who believe Persky engaged in White Justice  and should leave the bench.   

Investigative reporters are now looking to how the personal lives of Judges like Towery, Emede  and  Persky may impact Santa Clara County citizens.

​Activists in the area have retained a number of high profile lawyers, public records experts and members of the media who are beginning  to scrutinize  the judiciary , and their personal lives, in a manner that has never been done before. 

Preliminary information indicates  that  Judge Towery has used his judicial authority to retaliate against women in particular, which may stem from a personal disrespect and  attitude towards women, that has been tolerated and ignored by many in California's State Bar and ​Santa Clara County's Family Law community. 

​But it also my soon be clear that more than a bias toward women. Judge3 James Towery is so determined to provide kickbacks to his lawyer buddies , that he is willing to help  out those lawyers on the backs of the family law litigants and children trapped in his court.

​Santa Clara Judge Towery Openly Chills Free Speech, Due Process and Right to Association- Threatening Litigants Who Speak Out Against the Corrupt Judiciary 

A 2000 letter Towery wrote to the county’s then presiding judge, shows Towery's arrogance in protecting those inside a corrupt system:

Dear Judge Kumar,
For many years Santa Clara County Family Court has enjoyed a successful collaborative relationship among the Bench, the Bar and the mental health community.  As a result of our jointly designed cutting-edge innovations, the Family Court has received numerous national awards for their alternative dispute resolution programs.  Some of these programs have resulted in the dramatic reduction of damage to children in even the worst high conflict cases and have sharply reduced the overload on the Court's resources.

Unfortunately, over the past two years, the mental health professionals and attorneys who represent children have fallen under increasingly unethical and malevolent attack.  Many of these professionals have been publicly humiliated and personally and professionally threatened.  Recently, the hysteria and degree of deliberate and purposeful threats has reached an intolerable and potentially dangerous level.  Upon reflection, perhaps should have been written sooner.

​By 2012 many of these " cutting edge innovators"   Towery sought to protect from "malevolent attacks",  were found to be robbing from the county's poor and disabled, causing Jim Beall and other state legislators to call for reforms and changes. These investigations occurred after Towery and his cronies were unsuccessful in quashing public scruity of family law cases.

Sadly, by 2016 as Beall runs for office again, little has changed and family court reform has disappeared from campaign dialogue, even after the public outcry over Judge Perksy's sentencing of Brock Turner in the Stanford rape case.

​Other Bad Actors Santa  Clara Courts Are Protecting :
Ned Hales Jr. Jennifer Mello, Richard Roggia, Heather Allan, Bradford Baugh, Tim Harper, Valerie Houghton,  and CPA James Butera 

​Santa Clara family law cases have also been impacted by bad actors like  Ned Hales, Jr. , a  known philander and sexists old timer.  Hales is reported to have carried on affairs with scads of women in law firms  throughout Silicon Valley's  family law community,  At the same time Hales carved out a professional reputation  as one of the county’s most experienced family law experts , where he was  routinely appointed as a county fiduciary, pro tem judge  and acted as Special Master in cases where he was  appointed by  Santa Clara County Judges, including Erica Yew, former chair of California’s Commission on Judicial Performance.

In addition to unwanted advances on women in the county, Hales is reported to have been involved in helping his son, Greg Hales, fight  a bitter custody battle in his divorce case. Ned ( Nat )  Hales reportedly pulled in all of his legal might and cronies to help his son win custody of his granddaughter, and was reportedly angered by a Santa Cruz County judge who allowed the mother to move away, and raise his grandchild with a new husband. Hales is reported to have been most angered that his corrupt little network did not reach to influence the judiciary in Santa Cruz.

In case after case, Nat Hales appears to have imposed a  personal agenda and grudge in  Santa Clara County, retaliating against mothers and “throwing” cases to men whenever possible. Hales also appears to be  using an innocent children  in the process, cloaking his orders with testimony of nefarious lawyers and experts to justify his rulings.  

​Valerie Houghton is under indictment , after Santa Clara County's District Attorney got a charge in a civil matter, the DA and Santa Clara County Courts had ignored other complaints against Ms. Houghton for decades, showing how the DA also imposes White Justice, going after claims from rich white men, while ignoring seminal complaints from poor moms in custody battles where Ms. Houghton made millions, under the color of law, and as allowed and provided by Santa Clara County judges.

​Are Woman Judges Imposing White Justice in  Santa Clara County Too?  
The Case of Judge Mary Ann Grilli
 
 Litigants who hoped female judges in the county will balance out the sexist  and racists  male judges, have been disappointed . Family Court Judge Mary Ann Grilli is the zenith of examples of how women judges are capable of imposing White Justice on the most vulnerable in a society.

​Grilli  appears to routinely use  the Santa Clara Family Court bench  and  her power to lash out against women embroiled in dissolution cases. Mary Ann Grilli's public record indicates she is a " champion " of women and children’s issues, but her judicial record shows otherwise as Mary  Ann Grilli ignores ADA laws, fails to assure guideline support for socioeconomically  disadvantaged litigants , and has even been known to misuse federal Medicare funds.

​Worst of all, in case after case we see Mary Ann Grilli has been willing to put pregnant mothers in jail over custody violations,  while at the same time Grilli ignored fraud and white collar crimes represented men impose in family law cases to avoid child support.

​Worst of all is  that Santa Clara County Courts  routinely ignore complaints received  against Mary Ann Grilli and has further ignored court staff and lawyer reports that indicate Mary  Ann Grilli has been displaying signs of dementia and drug dependency for years. 

Judicially Grilli appears willing to violate ADA laws, flagrantly abuse her discretion in custody cases and act to financially and mentally destroy lawyers and litigants who are opposed by a core network of lawyers and experts in the county.  Judge Grilli is known for harming the poor and disadvantaged in her family court and for always favoring the wealthy represented litigants who are celebrities, tech giants and Silicon Valley's most influential;

​Santa Clara Count Courts has known Grilli has been violating state laws and harming poor people, inflicting White Justice in the county's family courts, for over 20 years, and the county has been silent  and allowed it , causing the Persky culture of White Justice in Santa Clara County to flourish.
 

​Anonymous Fights Dirty to Reveal Dirty Judges and Corrupt Santa Clara Courts

​Within months of placing intense focus on Santa Clara County, Anonymous Family Court has organized hundreds of current and former litigants, reviewed thousands of court volumes and files. and found members of Santa Clara County's legal community willing to be civilly disobedient  to provide valuable information that is part of an underground movement intent on running bad judges and lawyers out of family courts.

​For example, Anonymous obtained medical information, leaked to the underground group,  that more than indicates Grilli has been suffering from early stage dementia for some time. The group also discovered that the Santa Clara County supervising judges like Emede and Pichon have  county has known about Grilli's problems for years  and tried to conceal her judicial misconduct that results, knowingly unleashing a mentally incompetent judge on the most vulnerable of family law litigants.

As the county conceals these issues, local activists and legal experts have enlisted the help of  a leading public records expert. The expert has already uncovered scads of violations the county courts are engaged in, some of which may be used as a political weapon in this fall’s election.

​By fall, it appears the media and public pressure on Santa Clara County’s legal system will reach new highs and many are hopeful this pressure will expose the fundamental dysfunction seen in family courts across the entire United States.
