When a family court orders one spouse to undergo a vocational exam, it sounds very scientific and professional. It is not.
Santa Clara County divorce litigants have been ordered for decades to undergo vocational exams to assist the court in determining proper levels of support and employment issues during a divorce proceeding. The practice dates back pre computers, and one case, In RE Marriage of Cheriton, the famous billionaire, and Stanford professor, David Cheriton got a court order to pay his wife $38,000 less a year in support and the wife ordered to teach opera lessons to contribute to the support of the couple's four children, after a long term marriage despite the fact that David Cheriton had earned over $500,000,000 in tech stock options. Forbes estimates that David Cheriton is worth $3.8 billon, one would think he could support his four kids with that money-but the corrupt family court team of Brad Baugh and Judge Grilli didn't think so. And if Grilli is this financially incompetent ,or corrupt in cases where Baugh appears-what is going on in Santa Clara County's middle class divorces???? Certainly not anything that considers the best interests of children. The concept of one parent staying home to raise children and support a household remains vastly undervalued in modern family courts. Women today are often punished if they stay home with children, or contribute to a community business. Men are ridiculed for staying home, which is made worse by an aging judicial bench incapable of reflecting changes in society as rapidly as they need to. Dads that manage to get 50% custody? Judges like Contra Costa County Judge Mills thinks it better to put those dads in jail for posting details of the family law case than to have the dad around for timeshare and to make money to support children. If a family business is at stake, courts continue to toss out the women, and force them into the working world to restart a career. Men have a mixed bag if they decide to stay at home. Courts still view men as the dominate business managers, so courts don’t know quite how to deal with the Stay- At- Home Dad concept, Despite the confusion, dads certainly are not facing the bias women have endured in divorces for decades. In Santa Clara County most wealthy spouses use Tim Harper and Associates to have a former spouse " evaluated " and imputed for income. Often the spouse presents to Mr. Harper's office voluntarily and excited at the prospect of new employment opportunities. What people actually find is a dark, smelly, filthy office, and very unprofessional staff members who likely have difficulty finding their own careers, so they carved out a niche making money in divorces instead. The typical fee for Mr. Harper's evaluations appears to run $5,000- $50,000, depending on how much a spouse wants to harass their ex and get out of supporting their children. Mr. Harper has a core group of crooked lawyers who feed him a steady stream of victims. Tests Mr. Harper presents to " clients " are antiquated. Bubble type tests that most employers abandoned in the mid-1990s. There is nothing tech savvy about Mr. Harper's office, if he does have a computer, it is unclear if he knows how to use it. Yet Mr. Harper will climb the stand and tell the court he is an ultimate authority and knows just how much " clients' can earn in tech or other industries. If one reads Mr. Harper's reports clearly, there is nothing extraordinary, He uses standard websites, that anyone could get online, to create his reports. Then he dazzles the court with his "paid " testimony, to get the number the real client seeks. In one case Mr. Harper got a 57-year-old woman imputed for approximately $132,000 in income in the tech industry, despite the fact he knew, or should have known, that a 57-year-old, with a heavy foreign accent, might get a job in Google catering, but tech jobs routinely go to the younger crowd, 30 and below. Mr. Harper appears to pull numbers out of the air. His reports appear to be more about how much he is paid, than any real information. Mr. Harper has been harming women with his smoke and mirrors reports for decades and family law judges seem willing to rubber stamp his fatally flawed testimony. In a recent hearing, Brad Baugh's office recently leaked information that shows Tim Harper doing more than vocational exams. Harper appears to help Baugh's paying clients slander, defame and harass their former souses. Judges should bar such conduct in family court, but whistleblowers report Baugh's kickbacks in the family court community insulate him from such claims. Vocational examiners like Tim Harper in Santa Clara County are one more sham family courts impose on normal citizens in the corruption racket called divorce.

The entire system is corrupt. Domestic Violence (DV) are falsely filed by lawyers on behalf of spouses to turn ordinary divorces into high conflict divorces by involving evaluators, psychologists, exchange providers, therapists to prolong the case, create, dig up more material on the other spouse to drag out the case for year so they can generate revenue.
